@gazamom writes about her day long ordeal in Cairo airport transit area

I hold a Palestinian Authority passport. It replaced the "temporary two-year Jordanian passport for Gaza residents" that we held until the Oslo Accords and the creation of the Palestinian Authority in the mid '90s, which itself replaced the Egyptian travel documents we held before that. A progression in a long line of stateless documentation.

It is a passport that allows no passage. A passport that denied me entry to my own home. This is its purpose: to mark me, brand me, so that I am easily identified and cast aside without questions; it is convenient for those giving the orders. It is a system for the collective identification of those with no identity.

More numbers to donate mobile phone credit to

You can help the injured from Gaza—being treated in Egyptian hospitals—by transferring mobile credit to their phones. A one minute phone call to Gaza costs around 5 EGPs.

All the patients are accompanied by only one family member or a relative. They were quickly transfered from the overwhelmed hospitals in Gaza to Egyptian hospitals. They didn't have much time to take clothes or enough money with them.

By transferring credit from your mobile you will be helping families keep in touch.

Please remember that this is only one thing they need. You can contribute more by contacting the Popular Committee in Support of the Palestinian People.

Please read this to learn more. And for instructions on how to transfer credit.

Transfer mobile phone credit to injured Gazans in hospitals in Egypt

There are more than 100 injured Palestinians in Egyptian hospitals. Most of them suffered difficult, life-threatening, disabling or disfiguring injuries and they speak of horror stories.

I personally met some of them in three different hospitals. Many of the casualties are civilians including children.

The attacks on Gaza didn't discriminate between civilians or non-civilians.
