CairoChanging
Warning! This post is very old and may contain information or opinions that are no longer valid or embarrassing.
While writing this, I coined the term CarioChanging. I used it to describe a place (Sakia) that did change Cairo to the better and still has the potential to bring good things to this megapolis.
I borrowed the term from a very popular blog. Worldchanging. They describe their site as:
WorldChanging.com works from a simple premise: that the tools, models and ideas for building a better future lie all around us. That plenty of people are working on tools for change, but the fields in which they work remain unconnected. That the motive, means and opportunity for profound positive change are already present. That another world is not just possible, it's here. We only need to put the pieces together.
And best thing is; they don't do negative reviews.
Well, I would like to list the places in Cairo that are CairoChanging. Probably later I might blog about local initiatives, tools, services or products that could bring a better future for Cairo.
I will probably span lots of topics. Environment, health care, transportation, sport, cultural centers up to projects that promote peace and tolerance.
Here is my incomplete list of recent places that are probably making Cairo a better place.
- Sakia
- Azhar Park
- [Newly reopened Cairo's Museum of Modern Arts)
- Mohammed Mahmoud Khalil Museum
oh,well I can't think of any other places with a positive impact. Can you help ?
