8 hours

Today was my second day in a year long internship (a.k.a Emtiaz). I had an 8 hour long shift from 08:00 till 20:00. Learned lots of things, but it is very tiring. I feel like a zombie writing this.
Currently, I am in the pediatrics hospital. Some kids are just wonderful, others are annoying and lots of the kids break your heart from the painful cries or the grave illnesses. Lots of work in this hospital. And everyone is doing their best, as far as I can see.
Today, we noticed this girl, Rotana. She had Fallot's Teratology. I discussed with my colleagues how cool her name was. At around 16:00 she passed away. My only trick, to hide my tears, was to promptly go and finish a request for psychiatric evaluation of another patient. She probably died after surgery, I didn't dare to ask.
Also, a one year old Ahmed has broncho-pneumonia and extensive fungus infections. Its probably due to some kind of immuno-deficiency which is still unknown. He has a fungus infection in his eye that is damaging the eye and skin and skull around it.
The professor, after examining Ahmed, opened her purse and took out a thick envelope with the words "Pediatrics Hospital Donations" written on it. She took out 50 EGP and gave it to the resident doctor. The doctor, refused and told her that his mother already bought the medicine. She answered no it is for his "Kafan".
