Today I am starting to feel normal again. I had a terrible flu since Thursday. Fever reached 39.5! I never felt so ill since I was 8 years old.

This time, correctly calculated, I have spent 16 hours in the emergency ward. Not in one shot. 4 hours in the morning and 12 hours night shift.
It was like a disaster zone, sick children didn't stop pouring in. Mostly gastroenteritis and febrile convulsions cases. One child came with a cardiac arrest and Aya with a huge subcutaneous hemangioma over her abdomen.
I had lots of bureaucratic 'fun' with Aya. Radiology department doesn't do Ultrasound …

Anyways, a simple google search shows that sms …

Although it is time to celebrate and relax. I can't stop thinking of what is to come. I hope that I start truly learning the Art. I wish that I always feel that I know so little, so I always look for …
Last year I attended the first phase of an intensive training course called Research Orientation Course (ROC). It provides training for medical students on scientific methods and research.
I learned a lot from this course.
I think we, medical students, are being taught in a negative way which is based on rote learning only. This results in conformist physicians who lack any understanding of the history and philosophy of medical science. And know nothing about …
