Update: It is online again.

Mastodon Online is down for an hour or two now. The status page has identified the error and the admins are working on getting it fixed. This sucks of course because this instance hosts my mastodon account. So I can't post or read my timeline.

I've been thinking about leaving ever since it was acquired by Amazon, but now that there are decentralised, open and anti-corporate alternatives, I think it's time to move on.

بعد ١٥ سنة من استخدام تويتر كمنصة أساسية للتعبير عن رأيي على الأنترنت قفلت حسابي بسبب شراء البليونير إلون ماسك للموقع.

في ٢٠٠٧ سمعت عن تويتر وأشتركت فيه فوراً والحقيقة وقعت في غرام الموقع وفكرته وقدرة أن الواحد يتواصل مع أشخاص يعرفهم أو ما يعرفهمش ويعرف هما بيعملوا أيه بشكل حي، وكمان نظام متابعة المغردين وقتها كان سهل وسريع.

وقتها طبعا كان فيه المدونات وفيسبوك لكن المدونات مكانش فيه توقع أنك بتنشر التدوينات بشكل سريع …
