Youssef is back. As usual his posts are very entertaining and smart. He also finds lots of surprises and hidden treasures. Boingboinged before for his toilet roll holders research. You sure want to follow his rants and burps.
UPDATE: He moved again, I updated all links.
If I would like to buy a digital audio player today, I would go for an iPod. Its the dominant mp3 player in the world today. It can carry all my mp3 collection. It looks good and comes with a huge user base.
It's today cultural icon. Its white headphones can be spotted from a huge distance. It is not very cheap but it's a monster, that comes with up to 40GB of storage. So …
I bought a cheap entry level point and shoot camera. It has no features other than it has a good CCD and Lens. For only 800 EGP this Kodak gives you a resolution of 3.2 Megapixels, not bad. I also bought a 256MB SD card so as to carry lots of photos.
Expect some photos here in the future. Part of the reason for buying this camera is that I feel this blog needs …
Here, people don't give much thought about safety. Not even personal safety. People in many professions just don't care if they hurt themselves.
Rabak Youstor, they say. You can see workers in extremely dangerous situations not wearing anything to protect themselves. This is not only in case of blue collar workers. Today I am starting to feel normal again. I had a terrible flu since Thursday. Fever reached 39.5! I never felt so ill since I was 8 years old.

You can read more about it here
This time, correctly calculated, I have spent 16 hours in the emergency ward. Not in one shot. 4 hours in the morning and 12 hours night shift.
It was like a disaster zone, sick children didn't stop pouring in. Mostly gastroenteritis and febrile convulsions cases. One child came with a cardiac arrest and Aya with a huge subcutaneous hemangioma over her abdomen.
I had lots of bureaucratic 'fun' with Aya. Radiology department doesn't do Ultrasound …
Today was my second day in a year long internship (a.k.a Emtiaz). I had an 8 hour long shift from 08:00 till 20:00. Learned lots of things, but it is very tiring. I feel like a zombie writing this.
Currently, I am in the pediatrics hospital. Some kids are just wonderful, others are annoying and lots of the kids break your heart from the painful cries or the grave illnesses. Lots …
Iranian bloggers are awesome. There are almost 65,000 ''active'' blogs from an estimated 200,000. At such number any oppressive regime must be in terror, if it fears freedom of expression.
Anyhow, I hope non of the handful Egyptian bloggers will end up like Mojtaba, Arash or any of the prosecuted bloggers in Iran. Well, lets just hope that more Egyptian bloggers would start to exist and start poking the limits of freedom in …
